2020-2021 sport

School Sport and Phsycial Education at Weaver Vale.

‘An Exceptional School Without Exception’

Here  at Weaver Vale, 2018-2019 saw that we achieved a silver award with the school sports mark. In 2019-2020 and in 2020-2021 we were striving to achieve gold, unfortunately the school sports mark was paused through summer term so we are currently still silver. We were formally recognised for our ongoing commitment and achievement in the School Games Programme during the Autumn & Spring Term. This year, we again are striving for gold.

Competitions:

Due to COVID-19, all competitions were virtual last year. For us as a school, we enjoyed taking part in the virtual compeitions. It has meant all children were given the opportunity to represent our school and we have been able to focus on 'personal bests'.

This year, we have been lucky enough to resume face to face compeitions. At Weaver Vale we are aiming to attend as many compeitions for each year group as we are able to do across the year.

Pupil Voice.

In 'files' you can select pupil voice. 2 / 3 pupils from each year group were selected to come and talk to me about PE in summer of 2020-2021. On the file you will see their answers. The chlodren were a mixture of genders and abilities so the answers are a true reflection of Weaver Vale Primary School. The whole school answers did not include reception.
